Gluteoplasty
Gluteoplasty is a complex surgical intervention including one or more methods of buttocks correction: plastic surgery, augmentation using implants or own fat tissue. The purpose of this intervention is to create attractive, sexy body shapes, eliminate defects and improve the silhouette. Gluteoplasty becomes increasingly demanded: for example, the USA Association of Plastic Surgery reports that last year it was carried out 23% more often. And studies in the United Kingdom have shown that most respondents consider the combination of a nice waist and buttocks to be the sexiest in the figure, and this applies to both men and women. If you are dissatisfied with the shape of your body, it may and should be fixed – it is much more correct to have a surgery than to poison own life with complexes.

Complete diagnostics are preliminarily carried out in order to eliminate the risk of any complications and reduce the recovery time after the surgery.
A further advantage is the price. With European service and level of professionalism, the price level is acceptable. In addition, you do not need to travel anywhere, so the cost will be much lower – you will not have extra expenses, and in the very next day after the surgery you will come back to home.
Indications
Gluteoplasty is recommended in the following cases:
- buttocks are asymmetrical, their shape requires correction;
- there is atrophy of the gluteal muscles, their lowering;
- the forms are deformed as a result of an injury or illness.
Approaches to Buttock Augmentation in Plastic Surgery
Gluteoplasty provides for the correction of the shape, elimination of asymmetry and imparting additional volume to the buttocks. Buttock augmentation can be carried out by two methods:
- using implants. At present, innovative materials are used that do not deform, do not leak and allow to actively engage in sports. The manufacturer provides a lifetime warranty thereon;
- using own fat tissue. Preliminary liposuction is performed, and after treatment, the tissues are transplanted back onto the gluteal area.
Both options have their advantages. For example, thin girls simply cannot get lipofilling procedure (an increase due to own fat tissue), since it is impossible to do liposuction. The choice of a plastic surgery method is discussed personally with the surgeon at the initial consultation.
Contraindications for Gluteoplasty
Contraindications for the surgery include only general prescriptions that apply to any plastic surgeries and are as follows:
- oncology in active form;
- heart and blood vessels diseases;
- diabetes mellitus;
- pregnancy, lactation;
- blood diseases which cause its coagulability disorders;
- chronic hypertension;
- infections.
Preliminary diagnostics are carried out, within the framework of which doctors completely exclude all the contraindications.
How is the Surgery Performed?
Usually, the surgery is performed under general anesthesia, however, local one combined with sedatives is also possible. The surgeon makes an incision along the upper circumference of the buttock, pulls the sagging skin up, and excise its excess and excess fatty tissues. The buttocks are lifted by removing excess tissue and applying special internal sutures. After that, if necessary, an augmentation is performed by setting implants or lipofilling. At the end, the doctor closes the incisions with cosmetic sutures, and the patient is put on special compression underwear.
Gluteoplasty may be combined with other surgical procedures, such as plastic surgery or a thigh lift. In such a case, the incision is made in the subgluteal cavity. As for the duration, buttock plastic surgery takes about 1 to 2 hours, in combination with other surgeries it continues a little longer.
Features of Postoperative Care and Recovery
The first day after the surgery, it is recommended to stay in the hospital for observation and exclusion of postoperative complications. After that, it is possible to return not only home but also to one’s usual way of life, recovery is as easy as possible. Side effects may include bruising and slight swelling but they disappear quickly – literally within a week. Stitches are removed in 7 to 10 days but compression underwear (shorts or breeches) will need to be worn for a month to a month and a half. During this period, it is not recommended to go to saunas, take hot baths, and sports should be limited.
