Femoroplasty

Femoroplasty, or leg lift, is a very wide-spread surgical operation that involves removing excess tissues from the inside of the thigh, eliminating aesthetic defects and restoring skin elasticity. Most often, it is carried out after a sudden weight loss or liposuction: diet and sports or surgical removal of excess fat tissues allows to get rid of volumes, but the stretched skin remains and it will not go anywhere. The help of a plastic surgeon in this case is the only right decision. The good news is that plastic surgery of the inner side of the thigh is a standard and simple surgery and the subsequent recovery period is not long.

Femoroplasty: Beautiful Legs and Thighs Without a Single Defect

If you decide to have a surgery on leg lift, it is very important to carefully choose a clinic. While creating the medical center, I did not want everything to revolve only around the plastic surgeon Olexandr Chornomyz. Each employee in our clinic is a professional of the highest level, and it is teamwork that allows to provide the best care for each of our patients. Other advantages include:

  • excellent equipment of the medical center. We use the latest equipment for diagnostics and minimally invasive surgery, which allows to reduce recovery time.
  • a wide range of surgeries performed. This provides for performing several different surgical interventions at once. For example, a thigh lift is often combined with a buttock lift. So the price will be slightly lower, but the main thing is reducing the impact of anesthesia and saving time, because rehabilitation will also occur simultaneously;
  • the comfortable hospital and attention to each patient;
  • fair cost – you can find the prices right now in a special section of the site.

Thigh Lift: Indications

This surgery is resorted to in order to lift the skin, give elasticity to the tissues, improve the contour of the thighs and reduce the amount of fat deposits in this area. Due to femoroplasty, it is possible to decrease the volume in the thighs and reduce the area of diaper rash. Indications for thigh plasty include:

  1. the appearance of cellulite that deforms the contour of the thigh;
  2. fatty deposits, sagging skin, stretch marks;
  3. flabbiness, skin folds;
  4. increased volumes in the thigh area with sagging of skin and fat deposits.

The main contraindications for femoroplasty include:

  • blood diseases that affect its coagulability;
  • diabetes mellitus and a number of other endocrine disorders;
  • oncology;
  • obesity;
  • hypertension, diseases of the heart and blood vessels;
  • infections (until recovery);
  • disorder of the skin integrity in the surgery area (until recovery).

Contraindications are identified during preliminary consultations, studying anamnesis and carrying out preliminary diagnostics. So, prior to the surgery, the patient undergoes a number of tests: blood – general analysis plus platelets, coagulogram, biochemistry, electrocardiogram, fluorography, and a number of other laboratory and clinical examinations. A complete list will be provided by the surgeon at the first consultation.

How is the Surgery on Removing Excess Skin on the Legs Performed?

Leg skin lift is performed under general anesthesia and takes 1 to 2 hours, the duration depends on the amount of work. The surgeon makes incisions; access, depending on the previously developed surgery plan, can be median, vertical or combined. The incisions can be located in the inguinal region or on the outside of the thigh. The essence of the surgery is the excision of excess fat and skin tissues. After the surgery, sutures are applied and masked in the natural folds of the body. After a few months, they will become completely invisible.

Femoroplasty is often performed in combination with liposuction of the thighs or buttocks.

Postoperative Recovery

After the surgery, you will have to stay in the hospital for a day for observation in order to eliminate the risk of postoperative complications. Then you can go home and immediately return to your normal life, with a few exceptions. For the first month or a month and a half, it is necessary to wear special compression underwear that reduces the risks of complications and helps the tissues come into harmony faster. You can return to light physical activity as early as two weeks after the surgery and to complete sport training in 2 to 3 months. For the first weeks, it is important to avoid ultraviolet rays, hot baths, swimming pools and saunas. The doctor will tell you in more detail about the results, preparation for the surgery and the features of recovery after it during a personal consultation.
